“Toward a World Without Pain”

Two units of the PainFree 8800 — a KFDA-approved percutaneous electrical stimulation device for pain relief — have been officially donated to the Severance Rehabilitation Hospital at Yonsei University Medical Center, one of Korea's most respected medical institutions.

The donation was made in partnership with World Human Bridge (WHB), an international relief and development NGO established by Manna Church (Bundang, Seongnam), as part of its ongoing B2D Campaign. The heartfelt contributions of church members became a tangible act of care — two medical devices now standing ready to ease the pain of real patients in recovery.

A Gift for Those Fighting to Heal

Severance Rehabilitation Hospital serves patients recovering from neurological and musculoskeletal conditions — stroke survivors, spinal cord injury patients, and those navigating the long road back from major surgeries. Every day, these patients face not only the challenge of recovery, but the burden of chronic pain.

The PainFree 8800 is a non-invasive percutaneous electrical stimulation device approved by the Korean Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). By delivering targeted electrical impulses to reduce pain without medication or needles, it offers patients a safer, more comfortable path through rehabilitation — and a greater quality of life during recovery.

World Human Bridge — Building Bridges of Compassion

Founded in 2009, World Human Bridge operates under the mission: “To build bridges of sharing wherever God's heart is, so that the joy of all may be made full.” With 18 regional chapters across Korea, WHB carries out diverse community and humanitarian programs throughout the year.

The B2D Campaign — launched in partnership with Manna Church — brought together congregational giving and corporate donations to benefit Yonsei Medical Center. In addition to a significant financial contribution, medical devices including the PainFree 8800 units were delivered to the Rehabilitation Hospital, ensuring that the giving reached patients in the most direct way possible.

The donation ceremony was attended by Yonsei Medical Center staff, representatives of Manna Church, and WHB leadership — a warm gathering of those united by a single purpose.

When Technology Meets Heart

GM R&D is committed to more than building medical devices — we are committed to the belief that good technology should reach the people who need it most.

The inclusion of PainFree 8800 in World Human Bridge's giving program was a natural alignment of values. When advanced pain-relief technology meets the generosity of a community that cares, the result is something greater than either could achieve alone.

We are proud that PainFree 8800 is present not only in clinical settings — but in moments like this, where healing truly begins.
